Build an AI agent for your business automations with Claude

One day to take a task you repeat every week and hand it to an agent, without writing a line of code. You leave with your agent built on your own process, connected to your tools, with its guardrails written down and its 30-day rollout plan.

1 day, 7 hours In person, remote or hybrid All roles
A person describes a repetitive routine that a mechanism beside them takes over

This training is designed for:

The admin assistant who copies data by hand

Every week she takes the same information from a document and copies it into a spreadsheet, following rules only she knows.

The team manager

They watch their department spend hours on files prepared assembly-line style and want that time back without launching an IT project.

The freelancer running everything alone

They handle their own quotes, follow-ups and reports, and want some of that work to run without them.

Learning objectives

The learning objectives of this training can be assessed. By the end of the session, each participant is able to:

  • Assess a recurring business process against automation criteria: frequency, stability of the rules, expected output format, sensitivity of the data involved
  • Write the procedure sheet for a real process, covering the trigger, inputs, ordered steps, decision rules, output format and handling of exceptions
  • Configure an agent in Claude without writing code: standing instructions, a context folder and the procedure packaged as a reusable command
  • Connect the agent to the trainee's work tools (email and document storage), applying the principle of least privilege
  • Run the agent on real work files and assess its outputs with a review checklist
  • Define the guardrails for daily use and write them into the agent's configuration: human approval, stop and escalation rules, excluded data, run log
  • Configure how the agent is triggered (manually or as a scheduled task) and check its first run
  • Build a 30-day rollout plan with dated actions, the compliance checks to carry out and tracking indicators

Audience and prerequisites

Audience. Non-technical staff in every function: executive support, sales administration, business management, accounting, human resources, marketing and communications, quality, purchasing. Team and department managers who want to offload recurring tasks and give their employees the right tools. Freelancers and independent professionals who run their own back office. Anyone who can point to at least one repetitive process in their work whose rules they know well.

Prerequisites. No programming skills required. The training relies on graphical interfaces and on describing processes in plain language, and the trainee writes no code at all. Any technical elements that come up in the session are presented and explained step by step by the trainer. Comfortable with everyday digital tools (web browser, office suite, email, file manager). Some prior use of an AI chat assistant, even occasional (preferred but optional). Working knowledge of at least one recurring process in your role, including its rules and special cases.

Each participant's actual level is checked before the session with a placement questionnaire, which is used to adjust the outline.

Program

The full outline, sequence by sequence, is in the detailed program you receive before registering.

Tell a conversation with Claude apart from how a tool-using agent works. Identify the 5 building blocks of an agent: procedure, context, tools, trigger, guardrails.
Break a business process down into trigger, inputs, steps, decision rules, output format and exceptions. Write a procedure sheet that someone new to the process could carry out.
Choose the right home for your agent among a Claude project, Cowork and a reusable command. Configure your agent's standing instructions and context folder.
Run your agent on real files and assess the outputs with a review checklist. Define the guardrails for daily use and write them into the agent's configuration.
Write up a 30-day rollout plan with dated actions and tracking indicators. Assess your learning against the training's learning objectives.

Teaching methods and resources

The training combines demonstrations with commentary, guided workshops and hands-on work on the participants' real cases. Theory is limited to what you need to put things into practice.

  • A practitioner trainer who works on the subjects taught
  • Course materials for each participant
  • Each participant works on their own computer, with their own files
  • Environment set up in advance and tested before the session

In person

The training takes place at the client's premises. The client provides a room with a projector or screen, an internet connection and a computer for each participant.

Remote

The training runs as a live virtual classroom, in a group with the trainer, on a fixed schedule. Participants interact by voice, screen sharing and chat, in both directions and throughout the session. Each participant's connection is logged and serves as the attendance record. Technical support is available by email and phone for the whole session, and a connection test is offered ahead of the day.

Hybrid

A single session can bring together on-site and remote participants. The trainer leads from the in-person venue, and remote participants follow in the virtual classroom with the same individual support and the same deliverables.

Assessment and certification

  • Placement questionnaire before the training starts
  • Continuous assessment through the exercises completed during the session
  • Final assessment of learning against the objectives listed above
  • Satisfaction questionnaire at the end of the session, then again a few weeks later

The training leads to an end-of-training certificate stating the objectives and the assessment results, and to a certificate of completion sent to the funder where applicable.

Jessy knows his subject inside out and, above all, shares it passionately with his students. His advice and follow-up will certainly help the CAMPUS 2023 apprentices and the clubs where they work. I very strongly recommend him.

Questions?

Jessy Martin Academy is a registered training provider [a training organization declared to the French State], so your company can charge the cost to its skills development plan [the training budget a French employer manages for its staff]. Funding from an OPCO [French skills operator that funds employee training] also requires Qualiopi [France's quality certification for training providers] certification, which is in preparation.
The lead time between your request and the start date is set during the scoping call and written into the training agreement [the contract French law requires between the provider and the client]. Allow 15 days minimum, more if an external funder is involved.
Yes. That is exactly what scoping is for: the outline adjusts to your industry, your tools and the participants' actual level, checked with a placement questionnaire before the session.
Let us know in our first conversation. Together we look at adjustments to materials, pace, duration or assessment. The details are on our quality page.
Yes. An active Claude Pro or Max subscription is required for the exercises, and its cost is borne by the trainee or the company. You also need a laptop with administrator rights, plus access to your work email and your work document storage.
Yes. It runs on your computer and your accounts, with your process documents. If you set up a scheduled task during the session, it keeps running, and at the end of the day you decide whether to keep it, pause it or delete it. Access granted to connectors is revoked at the end of the session, and you receive a checklist of points to watch for the rollout.
