Claude for executives of small and midsize businesses

2 days to move past improvised prompts. Participants set up their environment, build commands that save them time every week, and set the privacy rules that protect company data.

This training course is designed for:

The small or midsize business owner

They want to know what AI changes for their company before committing a budget, and to set clear rules on data.

The operations director

They lead the AI transformation of their area and look for methods they can pass on to their team.

The freelancer or consultant

They work alone and want to multiply their output without hiring.

Claude for executives of small and midsize businesses

The turning point came when we went beyond chatting with an LLM. Today, Claude pulls the information I give it access to from my own computer, without me having to send my data again. I built a folder structure, and Claude turned it into a knowledge structure with agents at every level. It takes an investment of time. Once it's done, there is time to be saved, that's certain.

Learning objectives

The learning objectives of this training course can be assessed. By the end of the session, each participant will be able to:

  • Describe the Claude ecosystem (claude.ai, Cowork, Claude Code, plugins, MCP, skills) and choose the right interface for each work situation
  • Set up a personalized Claude environment: instructions, projects, memory, context files
  • Use slash commands and the preinstalled Cowork plugins to produce professional deliverables (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, emails) without writing complex prompts
  • Create a custom skill that packages a recurring business process and can be reused with a single command
  • Connect Claude to their work tools (Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, Slack) through MCP connectors and run cross-tool workflows
  • Set up a “Personal AI consultant” Cowork project fed by community resources (GitHub, Reddit, newsletters) to handle their future needs on their own
  • Identify the privacy and data governance issues raised by using agentic AI in a company
  • Build an individual 30-day action plan that includes routines, automations and measurable tracking indicators

Audience and prerequisites

Audience. Executives of small and midsize businesses, operations directors, independent professionals.

Prerequisites. Experience leading or managing a business, 2 years recommended. Comfortable with everyday digital tools. Some prior use of ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.

Each participant's actual level is checked before the session with a pre-course assessment questionnaire, which is used to adjust the outline.

Program

The full outline, sequence by sequence, is in the detailed program you receive before registering.

See the whole Claude ecosystem in action on one of your own business cases. Understand the claude.ai > Cowork > Claude Code progression and what each interface adds.
Set up your Claude environment securely (privacy, custom instructions). Produce your first interactive artifact, one that is useful in your job.
Explore the official Cowork plugins and see how slash commands replace manual prompting. Create your own custom skill that packages a recurring business process.
Connect Claude to your work tools through MCP connectors and run a cross-tool workflow. Gauge the potential of advanced automations and office suite integrations.
Get to know the key community resources of the Claude ecosystem (GitHub repositories, forums, newsletters, marketplace). Set up a “Personal AI consultant” Cowork project fed by these resources.
Build a working business project you can deploy, based on your real challenges. Put to use everything learned on day 1 (Cowork, skills, slash commands, connectors, artifacts).
Finalize the priority project and build a second business project. Master scheduled tasks to automate recurring routines.
Formalize a concrete, measurable and structured 30-day action plan. Identify the next steps to keep building your skills.

Teaching methods and resources

The course alternates between demonstrations with commentary, guided workshops and hands-on practice on participants' real cases. Theory is limited to what you need to put things into practice.

  • A practitioner trainer who works on the topics taught
  • Course materials given to each participant
  • Each participant works on their own computer with their own files
  • Environment prepared in advance and tested before the session

In person

The course takes place at the client's premises. The client provides a room with a projector or screen, an internet connection and one computer per participant.

Remote

The course runs as a live virtual classroom: the group and the trainer meet at set times. Exchanges happen by voice, screen sharing and chat, in both directions and throughout the session. Each participant's login is recorded and serves as the attendance record. Technical support is available by email and phone throughout the session, and a connection test is offered ahead of the session.

Hybrid

A single session can bring together on-site and remote participants. The trainer leads from the in-person venue, and remote participants follow in a virtual classroom with the same individual support and the same deliverables.

Assessment and certification

  • Pre-course assessment questionnaire before the training starts
  • Continuous assessment through the exercises produced during the session
  • Final assessment of learning against the objectives listed above
  • Satisfaction questionnaire at the end of the course, then a follow-up a few weeks later

The course leads to an end-of-training certificate stating the objectives and the assessment results, and to a certificate of completion sent to the funding body where applicable.

Questions?

Jessy Martin Academy is a registered training provider [declared to the French State], so your company can charge the cost to its skills development plan [the employer's training budget under French law]. Funding from an OPCO [French skills operator that funds employee training] also requires Qualiopi certification [France's quality certification for training providers], which we are currently preparing. We will tell you where things stand at the scoping call.
The lead time is set with you during the scoping call and appears in the training agreement [the contract French law requires for each training course]. It depends on the participants' availability and on the funding route, since outside funding always takes longer.
Yes, and that is the most common case. The analysis of your needs and the participants' pre-course assessment always come before the session, and the outline is adjusted accordingly. For needs far removed from this program, we build a dedicated course.
Yes. An active Claude Pro or Max subscription is required to do the exercises, and the trainee or their company provides it. Each participant also brings a headset or earphones with a microphone, plus access to their work email and document storage, including the permissions to authorize a connector.
